About me

A woman in black workout clothes performing a handstand in a room with large openings showing a wooded landscape outside, with text about Karlyn, an occupational therapist and pelvic health practitioner, sharing her story.

Hi, I’ m Karlyn!

Occupational therapist. Pelvic health practitioner. Parent. ND human. Founder of Wildly Human.

AS A KID, I WAS:

  • the picky eater

  • the one who hated certain clothes

  • the one who was always fidgeting

  • the one who loved being upside down

The truth is, I found occupational therapy because I was trying to understand myself.

Years later I would learn I was AuDHD. But long before I had a diagnosis, I was fascinated by the connection between our bodies, our nervous systems, and the ways we move through the world.

Movement became one of my first teachers. I spent years as a gymnast, gymnastics coach, cheerleader, yoga practitioner, and circus artist. I was constantly curious about how people learn, adapt, recover, and build confidence in their bodies.

Later, my own experience with chronic UTIs, digestive issues, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, pelvic floor dysfunction, and sexual health challenges deepened that curiosity even further.

The more I learned, the more everything started to connect:

The nervous system. The pelvic floor. Pain. Movement. Identity. Relationships. Neurodivergence. Trauma.

Wildly Human grew from these connections.

I don’t believe people are problems to be solved. I believe people are stories to be understood. And I believe healing doesn’t require perfection. It requires curiosity, compassion, and connection.

YOU ARE NOT TOO MUCH. YOU ARE NOT BROKEN.

YOU ARE WILDLY HUMAN.
